Laid Off Day Two…I received several text and phone calls yesterday. The scoop is the company is laying off 10% of their employees. For our branch that is 35. Yesterday in our office 13 were laid off. So if the rumors are correct there are more layoffs to come. I am still not sure how to process all of this. I was escorted out of the building by an officer (as if I was some kind of desperate security risk) I was not allowed to pack up my office. After 16 years I do have some stuff. My most valued is my cartoon binders containing 16 years of office cartoons-pretty much the history of the company. I started August of 98. I was one of the original core employees. Anyway I posted some of the recent Laid Offs from our office. Tomorrow I get to go back to office and pick up my stuff that was packed up by HR.
