Today was wet and soggy. Both baseball and football games that our kids play in were cancelled. I decided it was time to clean out all the company gear that I have accumulated over the past 16 years. I realized that in my closet was the history or the evolution of branded products that we used at the company. Some of my older shirts carry the original logo boldly embroidered on the right chest. This is of course the pre-acquisition #1 days (there were 3 in all). Then the logo changes a little but still embroidered on the right chest. Then we move along to the tone on tone logos that were positioned on the right sleeve. Finally the logo was reduced in size tone on tone right sleeve. I have several vendor HP-Cisco-IBM-Apple-Dell etc., logo shirts, ball caps-laptop bags-cooler bags-tee shirts-jackets-all manner of promotional gear none of which I wish to keep. The majority of this stuff was designed and ordered by me or I worked with sales reps/vendor reps on their events and we would come up with some neat stuff. I found the last shirt that we produced for EMC World that still has the tags on it. I did come across a windbreaker embroidered Sting/Compaq from Stings world tour that I might keep. Interestingly enough I have a Bell Micro 20th Anniversary windbreaker I think it was about a year later Bell starting going down the tubes. I also have Bell Micro racing tee shirts that are pretty neat. I thought I might box all of this stuff up and drop off to the warehouse but then who wants a bunch of Bobj hand me downs. I am going to send all to the American Kidney Foundation. Since I still have close ties to the company I did keep a few choice shirts maybe for yard work who knows and I will keep the Tervis Tumbler that I designed for National Sales Meeting last April. So now there is a big hole in my closet where all this stuff was. I guess I will have to fill it up with BobjToday swag…
