Continuing with the Gwinnett Beer Fest adventure… we took the shuttle from Coolray Field to the Tannery Row Ale House. The place was hopp’n with a live rockabilly band. In the back lawn the Hell on Wheels show was going on. I was checking out some pretty cool Rat Rods and custom bikes when out of the corner of my eye I saw Ghouella DeVille stalking around. Zombie Pinup Girl and star of The Ghouella DeVille Show. Since she appears in her Ghouella comic books I thought we may have some things in common. I got her autograph on one of her comic book cover posters and thought we were hitting it off but soon realized she only wanted to eat my brains which I do use on occasion so I headed for the bar. Tannery Row has a pretty good Craft Beer offering. It took me a few minutes to decide on a Bell’s Brewery Oberon. Brian wanted us try his fav-o-rite appetizer “Pecan-Smoked Bacon with Bourbon Peanut Butter Dip” Ok I guess it is true everything goes with bacon. It was interesting pairing the bacon and peanut butter. It was so good I was thinking of making peanut butter and bacon sandwiches (I will keep you posted). The Beer Fest came to an end at Tannery Row. Our Uber driver Sean (Brian’s son) picked us up and delivered us all safely home and I think the kid made a couple bucks in the process.
